Presetti Guide

Send a debug log

Turn on Presetti's debug log, reproduce the problem and send the file, so a hung synth or failed preset can be fixed without access to your computer.

When a synth hangs, presets won't load or renders come out silent, a debug log usually shows why. It's off by default.

Record a log

  1. Open Settings (the gear icon) and pick Help & feedback.
  2. Turn on Record a debug log.
  3. Do the thing that went wrong again, for example run Analyse or build that synth.
  4. Back in Help & feedback, click Open folder. The log is the file named presetti-debug.log.

Turn the log off again when you're done.

What's in it

The log lists your clicks and the status messages you saw, your Presetti and Windows versions, basic hardware details, your plugin folders, the synths found, preset names and file paths, and what happened to every render.

It never records audio or your microphone. Your Windows user name is replaced with <HOME>.

Send it

The feedback form can't take attachments, so describe the problem there and leave your email, and we'll reply with where to send the file. Or post the file in Discord. Either way, say which synth or step went wrong, and roughly when.
