Skipped presets
Why some presets are skipped during a build, how to see the reason for each one, and how to retry them.
It's normal for a build to skip a few presets. The rest of the library works as usual.
See why a preset was skipped
- On the Library tab, select the synth and click View presets.
- Pick Skipped in the status menu.
- Select a preset. Its details show the reason.
During a build, a synth's Logs button shows its most recent failures too.
Common reasons
- The preset file moved or was renamed after Analyse. Retry skipped presets looks for it again under its new name.
- The preset sounds like the synth's default patch. Presetti couldn't tell it apart from the sound the synth makes with no preset loaded, so it left it out.
- The plugin hung or crashed on that preset. Each preset gets 30 seconds. After that it's skipped and the build carries on.
Retry
Click Retry skipped presets on the Library tab. Presetti lists the affected synths again, so moved files are found, and then builds only the skipped presets.
Check / repair library
If Search behaves oddly after a crash, a disk problem or moving your files, click Check / repair library. It checks every clip in the library and fixes only what's broken. Good presets stay searchable. A preset whose clip is gone or damaged drops out of Search, and the next build renders it again.
If presets keep failing for one synth, send a debug log.
